Know your cashmere

Can’t wear wool? Hate that itchy, scratchy feeling?  Good news – wear cashmere!  Cashmere isn’t from sheep; it’s the softest hair from goats, especially goats from cold climates like inner Mongolia.

Cashmere is categorized by Ply and Gauge.  Ply refers to the number of strands twisted together to make a particular yarn.  Cashmere garments are generally made with 2 ply 26’s metric size yarn.  In simple terms, that’s two strands of yarn knitted together. 3 ply or 4 ply garments would weigh more. Gauge refers to the number of stitches per inch and the number of rows per inch.

From diaphanous to dense, there’s cashmere to meet your every need.  Warm, weightless, wonderful, cashmere affords you practicality, luxury and effortless style.  Don’t leave home without it!
